Good morning!
At one point Fort Walton Beach had 35 Thai restaurants. I know this because Ms. Sue Taveprungsenukul of the old Bangkok House Thai Restaurant told me one afternoon as I was ordering fried rice to-go!
Everyone has their favorite but mine was the Thai House Restaurant on Racetrack Road. It was inside an old house within a residential neighborhood on Pinedale Road. It had its ups-and-downs but was always reliable with good food.
It shutdown…
Then reopened…
Then shutdown for good.
That is…until now! According to a recent article from the Northwest Florida Daily News, Thai House will re-open under a new name, Thai Art Restaurant. The name has 2 meanings:
  • The previous owner’s name was Art
  • The new owner bought a ton of new artwork for the restaurant
Aside from a new name and some renovations, the new restaurant will also feature healthier menu options and hopes to be open by late February.
Over to you! Did you ever eat at Thai House? What’s your go-to Thai Restaurant?
