Good morning!
Yesterday morning around 4:30am, Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived at an abandoned home that was on fire with a woman trapped inside.
According to the OCSO, the woman is reportedly homeless and was trapped due to plywood screwed into the windows. OCSO shared the body cam video documenting the intense efforts by the Deputies on scene.
Two had to be treated for smoke inhalation.
Kudos to Deputies Joshua Williams, Misty Piaget, Lance Williams, Cansas Sadler and Corporal Matthew Self.
The Fort Walton Beach Fire Department and the Ocean City-Wright Fire Control District both assisted with extinguishing the home.
