Give a dentist your candy
If your household is overflowing with candy and you can’t handle the sugar rush with the kiddos, take your candy to Cook Family Dentistry in Santa Rosa Beach.
They partner with Operation Gratitude, which takes the candy and ships it overseas to active military that could use a little something sweet while they are deployed.
As a thank you, Dr. Cook will actually pay you $1 for every five pounds of candy you bring in. Last year the community donated over 70lbs of candy for the troops.
Their office is right on Highway 98 in Santa Rosa Beach across from the South Walton Publix. They are taking candy donations now through November 7th and their office is open Monday through Thursday.
Downtown Street Fest
It’s the first Friday of the month and in Fort Walton Beach that means Downtown Street Fest!
Head out this Friday night from 6-9 pm for vendors, live music and also several of the stores do fun promos and activities inside their stores.
Downtown Street Fest is family-friendly and always free to attend.
Okaloosa Rev Fest
Okaloosa Rev Fest is back this Saturday November 2nd for their 7th year - it’s an entire day of live music at KC’s Sandbar and Grill in Downtown FWB.
The festivities kick off at noon and literally all day until 2 AM.
They have a huge lineup of some of the top local musicians ready to rock the stage like Boukou Groove, The Good Lookings, I’magene, Scott Rockwood Band and more.
They’ll also have artists and a kids corner to add to the day. It’s $10 if you buy a ticket in advance or $15 on the day of.
Take-a-kid Fishing Day
One of our favorite traditions is happening this Sunday - it’s Harbor Docks Take a Kid Fishing Day and this is their 25th year!
Over 300 local kids will get out on some of the charter fishing boats and spend a day out on the water learning about one of our area’s biggest industries.
The day is for kids ages 7-13 and is completely free to participate but you do have to call Harbor Docks and reserve your child’s spot and they go QUICKLY!
Kids will enjoy breakfast before they go out and when they return, they’ll have a big family fish fry to cook up their catch. They’ll even get to go home with a free t-shirt, rod and reel.

Ok, that’s all I have for you this morning! Hope you have a great Halloween and we will talk tomorrow!
