I’m sure you’ve seen the Facebook posts, Instagram pics and political signs everywhere today.
It’s voting day.
If you have not yet voted, please make sure you get out to your voting location today and get it done!
Now that I got that out, let me apologize for missing the Daily Rundown the last couple of days.
We have been crazy busy at Get The Coast and I also wanted to try sending the Daily Rundown in the afternoon. Some of the headlines that we include everyday are from the day before. I really don’t want important headlines to not been seen until the next day, so I’m testing out an afternoon send this week.
You can tell me that you hate it later. I’ll even send you a link so you can tell me how you really feel!

Cheers for Charity 🍻🍷

Several local organizations have come together for a Hurricane Michael fundraiser at The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island on Saturday, November 10th from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Cheers for Charity will feature over 120 premium wines, craft beers, and various spirit tastings all along The Boardwalk. 100% of the event proceeds will benefit Panhandle Prayers and Pawsitive Love Foundation, two reputable organizations whose efforts are aiding Hurricane Michael victims with a longstanding impact.
Cheers for Charity will also feature several live music acts throughout the Boardwalk, college football on the Al’s Beach Club projection screen, free photo booth, and other vendors concerning Hurricane Michael relief. Fundraising efforts will also include raffles and silent auctions with thousands of dollars in items. The Boardwalk restaurants will donate 10% of all-day sales in addition to dinner and happy hour specials. The event will conclude with a Veteran’s Day Weekend firework show at 6pm off the Okaloosa Island pier.

“All of us on the Emerald Coast want to help our neighbors to the east, and so far, we’ve done an amazing job coming together with immediate temporary action.” says Steve Kotowske, founder of Pawsitive Love Foundation. “With every dollar from this event, we’re able to think more long-term action and focus on strategic areas of need for growth in the Panama City area.”

Tickets are $35 pre-sale and $45 day-of for general admission. A $5 military discount is available. Limited VIP Tickets are on sale for $75 and include early entry with cocktails, premium wine pours, hors d'oeuvres, and VIP parking. Tickets can be found at www.theboardwalkoi.com/cheers
Event coordinators are also seeking volunteers, raffle donations, and those interested in booth space and may contact Alyssa Hoffman at alyssahoffman4@gmail.com
