Good morning!
I sincerely believe the old real estate adage of “location, location, location” to be true when decided where to open up your business. Unless you are a destination business where you know customers will seek you out and come to you, where your business is located can definitely play a role in your success.
Our friends over at DoughLish in Fort Walton Beach announced on Friday that they were closing their brick and mortar location on Racetrack Road on December 15th and would be transitioning to a food truck.
They hope to be completely mobile by the Spring time.
If you are unfamiliar with DoughLish, we covered them on the Everything Show when the first opened and then again on our “Experience with ResortQuest” series.
⏯Watch them both here and here.
They are an edible cookie dough shop that serves up some awesome flavors!
In talking with the Northwest Florida Daily News, owner Leslie Cruz cited the fact that they don’t get a lot of foot traffic at their current location. When Cruz first opened she mentioned that she was aware that foot traffic could be an issue but was hopeful to at least have the opportunity to start building a business.
Over the year’s time she has done just that and now will be able to move around and have the opportunity to participate in local events with the food truck.
I talked with her yesterday and in addition to the food truck, DoughLish with get a slight brand makeover and they plan to expand their menu when the food truck is complete!
Congrats to our friends at DoughLish!
