Good morning!
The happiness I get from seeing new food trucks pop-up in our area is no secret. I’ve made it pretty known in the Daily Rundown newsletter. From acai to coffee to cookie dough trucks, I love seeing Okaloosa County finally start to embrace food trucks.
A new food truck is set to open in January 2019. This one is called Tasty Freeze 2.0 and they will serve Dole Whip.
Yes, THAT Dole Whip!
Gene Oglesby, along with his wife, Kim Oglesby, plan to open their soft-serve food truck on Brooks Street across from the Landing Park. Kim is no stranger to Downtown. She can regularly be found at the Raspberry Attic Salon doing hair.
Dole Whip has a cult-like following and is best known for being found at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. After a trip to the Dole Plantation in Hawaii roughly 4 years, the inspiration for the food truck was born.
The Dole Whip will be available in a small and large cone or cup, roughly $5 & $7.

Ok, that’s all I have for you today. I hope you have a great Thursday, and I’ll see ya tomorrow!
