Bud & Alley’s is one of South Walton’s oldest restaurants and a favorite gathering spot. Originally opened in 1987, Bud & Alley’s strikes the perfect middle ground between fine dining and simply having a fine time hanging out.
The Pizza Bar features wood-fired artisan pizza pies, while the Taco Bar offers fresh flavors with a funky vibe. And at sunset, the rooftop bar becomes THE gathering place for locals and visitors.
Now, it’s time for an expansion…or “enhancement” as owner Dave Rauschkolb told the Walton Sun.
Rauschkolb posted a video on Facebook last week announcing the upcoming changes that will happen at Bud & Alley’s.
Here is a sneak peek to show our Bud & Alley’s enhancement project after completion. A stairway tower with an elevator, upstairs bathrooms and we are expanding our roof deck by 850 ft.². Also, restaurant/bar dining along the roadside.
The Taco Bar is being moved to former Raw and Juicy Life location right next to Pizza Bar. The building along the roadside in front of Bud & Alley‘s has been demolished to make way for the new permanent location for Taco Bar. The new location for Taco Bar will have a bar along the roadside.
There will be a tower entrance added to the Roof deck that will include an elevator and stairs. 10 brand new bathrooms will be installed on the western edge of Bud & Alley’s including two upstairs bathrooms for the roof deck.
Rauschkolb posted on his Facebook page that,
“everyone may be rest assured that all of the existing areas of Bud & Alley‘s will remain exactly the same with the exception that the existing roof deck will get a new roof and a new floor.”
According to the Walton Sun, “with the new additions and the new boardwalk on the south side of the building, Bud & Alley’s will be accessible from four sides” and construction is expected to take a year to complete.
