Good morning!
I hate to start this Friday newsletter with not-so-good news but here we are: Asiago Skillet in Destin has closed.
While the exact details of why the popular breakfast spot decided to close remains unknown, their location on Okaloosa Island will remain open.
Talking with The Destin Log, Amanda Erickson, manager of Asiago’s Skillet on Okaloosa Island said,
“We’re deciding not to say anything right now.”
Asiago’s Skillet originally opened in Destin in 2016. Sadly, owner Jessica Young passed away from cancer in October.
Every time I went to eat at Asiago’s it was packed. Their portions were large and the food was always good.
The concept was neat too: Open at midnight and serve food until noon.
Did you ever eat at the Destin location? What’s your take on the food?

Some quick vitals...
Weather: Scattered thunderstorms this morning with a few showers possible during the afternoon. High 68F.
Stat:  133. That’s how many matches Big Brother Big Sisters has in Okaloosa and Walton County.
